Do not let the ugliness fool you! This unique blade was used by early sheep herders for skinning. The long curve of the blade makes it very useful in hunting, as well as, kitchen use. This is also a favorite with butchers.

This one is meaner than the machete. It requires a second hand.

The Ulu was crafted by the Native Alaskan over five thousand years ago. This knife was primarily used for skinning and cleaning fish. Because of its versatility, this blade is very popular and is still in use today. The center of force is concentrated directly over the middle of the blade, thereby, creating twice the downward force as a normal knife. This is our version of the Ulu. Not only is it a great skinner, it cuts vegetables with little effort!
